@ The Watkins Museum offers an exciting way to experience the history of early Kansas! In this unique tour, you’ll explore sites in Lawrence that witnessed the stirring events of Bleeding Kansas. This tour involves stopping and walking at three different locations. Those wishing to remain on the bus may do so. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Watkins-hosted special exhibition From Darkness to Light: Photographs Along the Underground Railroad. These tours are made possible by the Lawrence Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture. Tours will be offered at 10 AM and 2 PM. The bus loads at the 11th Street entrance of the Watkins Museum.
